Solving a real problem...

A recent AmericanEHR study showed that 40% of physicians would not recommend their EHR to a colleague, and that dissatisfaction is growing over time. This study also showed that on average providers lost 78 minutes per day or a total of 6.5 hours per week.  That’s almost a full day every week needed to deal with electronic charting.

In a separate study Medscape published that two of the top three reasons for physician burn out were ‘Increasing computerization of practice’, and ‘Spending too many hours at work’.

It is fair to say that provider productivity and morale is declining.

Having a scribe is a game changer...

Most recently, Medical College of Wisconsin and the Jon Vice endowed Chair for Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, funded a one year before scribe and after scribe study. Over the course of that year patient visits increased 10%.  The mean number of patients seen per hour increased from 1.97 to 2.21, and providers were overwhelmingly positive (94% felt scribes decreased their indirect patient care activities, and 88% would rather work with a scribe than without one.

What is a Virtual scribe?

With our Virtual Scribe service, encounters are recorded live and your dedicated virtual scribe works on all notes after hours and inputs them into your EMR/EHR. All notes are guaranteed to be completed by the time your office opens the very next day. We supply a high quality mobile device like a laptop or tablet. Providers have the device with them during the encounter. They are joined to a secure remote meeting, where there is a specially assigned virtual scribe recording and managing the virtual meeting. The provider is free to interact with their patient as normal as well as add any notes after the encounter or before the next encounter simply by speaking. Once the day's encounters are complete the virtual scribe will begin reviewing the encounters and inputting the notes into the EMR/EHR.
